Tyranny, humanity, insanity. Blind rage, for rages sake, or worse, rage for belief of what you don’t really comprehend, yet are too afraid to admit it. Blood fills the river of contempt while politicians toil in cruelty, used in the name of the righteous to fulfill a personal agenda. And the people, blind and loyal, graze in the grass of freedom content to feed. Never noticing the fences, just beyond the pastures they call home.
Maybe on another day we’ll stand tall and true. To see with our own eyes, feel with our own touch, free from guilt and the preordained expectations of others – my God, what will people say?
Driven by love and kindness, yet challenged and succumb by fear, we blame the demons and goblins and listen for the echo just beyond kingdoms gate, where fools huddle to reassure themselves that they indeed are going home.
