Brianna Nicole Austin

Is the reflection I see in the mirror who I am, or just the taxi that carries "me" around? As a TG journalist for a host of magazines, and Editor In Chief for TGlife.com, I have explored this and many other ideas along the detour that has become my life. Being transgender is by far the most confused, conflicted, distracting and yet amazing journey I have ever encountered thus far.

Accessorizing

Fashion is all about personality, mood and creativity. And one of the best ways to make a look your own is with great accessorizing. Take a single-color dress, and it’s, well, simple.  But accessorize it right, and you’ve got a look.

Teryl-Lynn Foxx

Liaison to the Louisiana Governor's Office, at the age of 22 Terry Sanders made the decision to become Miss Teryl-Lynn Foxx. We talked about life, coming out, challenges and rewards.

Miss Continental Elite 2016

I first met Teryl-lynn Foxx in 1992 on a trip to new Orleans, and we became fast and enduring friends. With her 2106 reign as Miss Continental Elite coming to a close I caught up with her for a an interview. Teryl-Lynn Foxx entered the pageant circuit in her 20’s, shortly after she transitioned and began working the club scene as an entertainer. Despite going back to school and becoming valedictorian of her class, she couldn’t secure a job in her field as a registered nurse, being passed over by less qualified candidates.
