Lisa Star

As a recording artist she has been active professionally in music since 2011 with the release of her hip-hop debut single and music-video for, "I'm a Killa" (video directed by long-time collaborator and manager, Nestor's Photography).

 

Since then, Star has appeared on The Jerry Springer Show, in 2015, performing an acapella version of her hip-hop/rap single, "The Truth"; in which she playfully ended the performance by flashing her breasts to the audience. The incident was featured as a lyric on one of Lila's recent releases, the hip-house single, "Cocky" by RuPaul's Drag Race alum, Shea Coulee and Chicago drag performer, The Vixen. The music-video for "Cocky" premiered on gay sex app Grindr and has since racked up close to two million views on YouTube.

 

In 2017 Star achieved a long-time dream of becoming an actress, with her debut as transsexual escort Kim in the neo-noir short film, "Lakeshore Drive" (directed by Peter Bowse). The film is currently in the festival circuit.

 

You can catch Lila monthly at The Baton Show Lounge for their "Sunday Fun Day" event and performing every half-hour at Kit Kat Bar and Lounge in Chicago, Illinois.
